Biography:

Often referred to as Higuchi Jirō Kanemitsu (樋口次郎兼光).

"A warrior of the twelfth century, and a son of Nakahara Kanemichi, governor of Shinano. He attached himself to Kiso Yoshinaka and became one of his 4 bodyguards (shi-tennō). He distinguished himself especially at the battle of Tonami-yama (1183), and was killed together with Yoshinaka (1184)."
