Biography:
The son of Kawarasaki Gonnosuke VI (1814-68), he received his name in 2/1859 when he debuted. He started out specializing in wakashugata (若衆方) or young adolescent roles. In 11/1863 he started a career in wakaonnagata (若女方) roles as a young maiden or princess. He died on 21/4/1867.
