This actor held this name from February 1947 until his death in March 1995. He had been adopted by Onoe Kikugorō VI (1885-1949). His sons are Onoe Kikugorō VII (born 1942) and Onoe Einosuke II. His grandson is Onoe Kikunosuke V (born in 1977).
